Adam Stinga (MD; trumpet)
was born in the village of Zârnești in 1962. He started playing the trumpet at the age of 12, playing with lutists from southern Moldova. He graduated from the Gavriil Muzicescu Institute of Arts in Chisinau and began his professional career with the folk music orchestra Lautarii, conducted by maestro Nicolae Botgros. Along the way, Adam collaborated with other orchestras, including Mugurel, Busuioc Moldovenesc, and Barbu Lăutaru.
From 2008-2013, he participated in the project The Other Europeans under the direction of Alan Bern, collaborating with musicians from Germany, France, Great Britain, Hungary, Bulgaria, the United States, and more.
Adam has made multiple audio and video recordings, which are in the collection of the National Radio and Television. He edited the book “From the Lautari Legacy” and is a member of the Musicians' Union.
