Zoë Belk (CAN; Yiddish language)
holds a PhD in Linguistics from University College London, where she specialized in syntax (adjectival modification, linearity, and adjacency constraints).
Her current research focuses on Contemporary Hasidic Yiddish, with particular emphasis on describing the syntax and morphology of Hasidic and Haredi Yiddish spoken worldwide.
Zoë is the mother of a young Yiddish speaker and teaches Yiddish at McGill University and elsewhere in Montreal.
