Anna Vishnevska (UA/DE; voice, choir directing)
performs in a wide range of music styles, from opera and sacred music to folk song and free improvisation, both in Germany and abroad. She is a director of two choirs in Hamburg.
She has performed Yiddish song with the klezmer ensemble A Mekhaye and in solo projects for many years, including as part of the artist program of the Central Council of Jews in Germany and at Jewish music festivals such as Hanse Shtetl. She also teaches Yiddish repertoire as a choir conductor.
Anna has led several youth exchange choir projects. Singing together as a bridge between different cultures with its empowerment and peacegiving potential is particularly important for her work.
Anna holds degrees in singing and vocal pedagogy from Alfred Schnittke Akademie International in Hamburg and in sacred music from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of North Germany.
