Benjy Fox-Rosen (US; voice, double bass, composer)

is a musician, composer, and researcher whose work in the field of Jewish music bridges performance and scholarly inquiry.

From 2017-2024, Benjy was conductor of the historic Vienna Stadttempel Choir, which was also the subject of his 2023 master's thesis in ethnomusicology (University of Vienna).

His compositions, including commissioned works for choirs and audio installations, have been performed at the Arnold Schönberg Center, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Wiener Festwochen, and the Musikverein.

Benjy was a 2012-2013 Fulbright scholar in Moldova and has taught workshops at the New England Conservatory and Yiddish New York.
As a performer, he is active at international festivals across Europe and North America.

Benjy is currently a Research Fellow at the Music and Minorities Research Center of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
