Flora Curzon (GB; violin)
is an award-winning violinist based in London. She started playing Klezmer and Yiddish music at Klezfest (London) in 2010 and has since performed internationally with her critically acclaimed duo Fran & Flora, London Klezmer Quartet, and International Klezmer Collective. She also plays classical music, experimental and improvised music, sings and regularly works collaboratively in theatre and dance contexts, with companies including Barokksolistene, Teaċ Damsa, and MishMash Productions.
Performance highlights include The Wigmore Hall, Sadler's Wells, Sintra Festival, Schleswig Holstein Festival, Jools Holland, Tiny Desk and BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, as well as major klezmer festivals including KlezMore, KlezKanada and Klezfest.
She has released the records Precious Collection (Fran & Flora 2024), Hold Still Liminal (solo 2023) and Unfurl (Fran & Flora 2019).
Flora trained in both modern and historical violin at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she was awarded several prizes.
