Vanessa Könemund (DE; motion designer, video artist)
is a Hamburg-based motion designer and video artist whose work bridges global issues and spatial audiovisual design, combining interdisciplinary fields within her projects.
She studied communication design at HAW Hamburg Department Design.
In addition to her freelance work as a motion designer, she works as an illustrator for NDR, where she provides visual accompaniment for various formats with animated drawings and graphic novels. In 2019, as part of a design collective, she developed the audiovisual installation concept Seidenstraße, which was realized in cooperation with the Körber Foundation and in the resonanzraum.
Since then, in addition to freelance video work, she has been involved in various collective projects with a focus on audiovisual installations. Since 2023, she has been working as a video and installation artist in the Affekt & Geste collective together with Mirella Frenzel. They created the music theater piece HEAT in 2024.
