Patrick Farrell (US/DE; accordion, piano, composition, band leading)
is an accordionist, pianist, composer, and bandleader. He is a long-time klezmer musician and a regular teacher and performer at many Yiddishland festivals throughout Europe and North America including Yiddish Summer Weimar, where he has co-taught a variety of workshops such as Introduction to Klezmer, the Dance Orchestra, and Hasidic Music.
He has participated in many renowned projects, including Sveta Kundish & Patrick Farrell, Michael Wex’s Cabaret Yitesh, and the Yiddish Art Trio.
Patrick is an organizer of Shtetl Berlin, a grassroots Yiddish cultural festival and organization in Berlin, and the related Neukölln Klezmer Sessions.
His most recent recorded release is Nem mayn vort (2022), a collection of newly composed Yiddish song duets with singer Sveta Kundish.
