Shura Lipovsky (NL; voice, songwriting)
has played a key role in the revival of Yiddish song for decades. As a singer, she has performed in major classical concert halls around the world, including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Carnegie Hall in New York, the Salle Gaveau in Paris, and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, and has been a regular guest at international Jewish music festivals.

As an educator, Shura gives workshops on Yiddish songs and nigunim worldwide and promotes the ideals of an inclusive, humanistically inspired Yiddish culture.
Since 2005, she has been the Artistic Director of the Golden Peacock Summer Songschool (JMI) in London. She also conducts a monthly choir at the Maison de la culture yiddish in Paris.
To date, Shura has released six recordings, most recently with her current ensemble, Novaya Shira.
