For decades, Yair Dalal has been one of the most beloved and admired composers and performers of Middle Eastern music in the world. A native of Israel, Dalal is largely responsible for the contemporary re-emergence of Iraqi-Jewish music. He is a soulful singer and a virtuoso violinist and oud player, an instrument that he helped bring back to life in Israel after decades of neglect.

“And You Shall Love” is a poetic concert wrapped in words and the sounds of the violin and the oud, combining ancient biblical texts with contemporary poetry and instrumental music. It breathes the spirit of longing for love, peace, acceptance and reconciliation. A musical journey that gradually fills the listener with the sounds and aromas of the Mediterranean and the desert.
